Are you ready to take your sewing skills to the next level? Join Mrs Bee (Nancy) at Coda Music and Arts Trust on Monday 8th June 2026 at 18.30-20.30 to develop your sewing ability and confidence. This 6-week course will focus on specific areas of sewing which will enable you to make better garments and soft furnishings.
What to Expect:
In this six week class we will be an introduction to working with jersey fabric.
*It is not essential to have taken part in our previous classes, but some knowledge is required. This course is designed to suit people who have already mastered threading their machine, loading a bobbin and can sew a seam using straight stitch and reverse. We will not be teaching you how to use your machine in this course – if you need a refresher or are a complete novice please try our Ab-SEW-lute Beginners classes or our Get to Know your Sewing Machine. If you have some experience and want to join a class to sew sociably you are more than welcome to try this class.
The class is held in Studio 7, The Stables at Coda Music & Arts Centre. The studio is very accessible with easy level access to the large carpark. Here is a link to their website
Ideally, you will bring your own machine, but if you do not have one, we can loan one to you for the session. You will need to notify us prior to the sessions.
The fabric and haberdashery for the items and a paper pattern to fit you, are all included in the price.
